Sooryavanshi: Akshay Kumar And Rohit Shetty Turn Action Choreographers For Abhimanyu Singh

Akshay Kumar, the original khiladi of Bollywood takes his role as a stunts innovator and action hero very seriously. These days he’s seen donning a new hat on the sets of his latest film, Sooryavanshi. Akshay Kumar, along with director Rohit Shetty, has taken the young Abhimanyu Singh under his wings and the actor-director duo is teaching Singh action skills and key techniques in martial arts.
Even though Abhimanyu has done several high intensity action scenes in South cinema, the actor feels Bollywood action sequence s are another ball game. And Sooryavanshi, in particular, is extremely demanding. Speaking to Mumbai Mirror, the actor revealed that he is expected to jump from one building to another for elaborate action sequences in the movie. Some of these scenes are extremely demanding in nature and take anything between 13–15 days to complete.
“I was a bit nervous in the beginning, but Rohit Sir made me comfortable and Akshay sir guided me well, even rehearsing the scenes with me and making sure that I remembered every move before the cameras rolled,” the actor told the daily.
The young actor is relying on and drawing from Rohit Shetty and Akshay Kumar’s experience. From learning the balancing act, and correct posture after a jump, to jumping off from one building to the other with the help of a ladder, Abhimanyu is getting a hang of it all under the tutelage of his new action masters.
